APM was founded on 29 July 1991 by Dr. Somphob Sakpunpanom together with five other financial specialists. The company provided full financial advisory services to businesses, drawing on its capability and experience in project finance and financial advisory work.
In 1997 Thailand went through an economic crisis. Businesses came to see the importance of financial management and began appointing financial advisors to help plan their operations.
Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. (APM) began providing full financial advisory services to businesses and companies in June 1998.
In 1999 APM was approved by the Corporate Debt Restructuring Advisory Committee (CDRAC), Bank of Thailand, as a financial advisor for debt restructuring.
On 12 July 2006 APM was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a financial advisory company.

APM (LAO) Securities Co., Ltd. (APMLAO) was founded to advise businesses and guide their development using financial principles. The Lao Securities Commission Office (LSCO) granted APMLAO its financial advisory licence in November 2013.
APM (LAO) Leasing Co., Ltd. was founded and licensed by the Bank of the Lao PDR in 2017 to operate leasing and insurance businesses, extending the group into the money and capital markets.
Licensed as a financial advisor by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC) in 2018.
